I got pregnant in September of the year 2000. During most of my pregnancy, I was very sick with nausea which prevented me from doing much of anything. I spent hours surfing the web and writing a very detailed pregnancy journal, which I sent to friends via e-mail. "I've been enjoying your pregnancy journal," they said, "but I'm sure your output will drop drastically once the baby is born."
It didn't.
This weblog is edited entries from the journal I have been flooding my friends' in-boxes with since my son was born on May 27, 2001. I'll be updating it on a 2-year-time delay, posting things on the day of the year they were originally written. I sent my first post-birth e-mail on June 4. It was so long I had to send it in three pieces. The birth story has been excerpted here as the first weblog entry. And so it begins...
